Oral Surgeon in Snohomish, WA

Booking oral surgery around a job is the part nobody warns you about. Consultations, the surgery itself, then a follow up. That is three trips, usually mid morning, usually midweek.

Our Snohomish office at 2606 Bickford Ave #3, Snohomish, WA 98290, United States is the only one of our four locations that opens on Saturdays, by appointment. OM3 Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery has five board-certified surgeons across Snohomish County, including Dr. Daniel T. Brady, DDS. Call 360-799-6812 to book.

Saturday times are few and they go quickly, so ask early.

Weekday appointments are easier to get, so if you can take a morning off, you will be seen sooner.

What we treat at the Snohomish office

The Snohomish office covers the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dental implants and extractions take up most of the calendar. Wisdom teeth, bone grafting, impacted canines, jaw joint pain and facial injuries account for the rest. We are a surgical practice, so your general dentist keeps handling your checkups and fillings.

Washington rule WAC 246-817-420 covers how a group practice must describe its dentists. Each one counts as a general dentist or a specialist. All five OM3 surgeons are board-certified specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Each finished a surgical residency after dental school, then passed board certification on top of it.

We also treat these at the Mill Creek office:

Our surgeons rotate between the four offices on a five week cycle, so the surgeon working here this week may be at another office next week. We tell you who you are booked with when you schedule. Where the rotation allows, we keep you with the same surgeon from consultation through to surgery.

Testimonials From Our Snohomish Patients

Are Saturday appointments really available?

Yes, at this office only. Saturday hours run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and it is appointment only, so there are no walk-ins. Our other three offices stay shut at the weekend. Three hours at one office is a small amount of capacity, which is why Saturdays book out further ahead than weekday slots. If weekdays are difficult because of work or school, say so when you call and we will look at Saturday first.

Parents booking for teenagers find this useful. A wisdom teeth consultation on a Saturday morning costs nobody a school day.

Ask what is available on a Saturday when you book, because those slots go first.

The first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office by phone or complete the appointment request form. Our scheduling coordinator will contact you to confirm your appointment. If you are an existing patient, this contact form should not be utilized for communicating private health information.

What happens at your first visit

Your first visit is a consultation, not surgery. Allow 45 to 60 minutes. You talk through your medical history. A surgeon examines you, and you have a scan if the case needs one. Then a surgeon tells you what they found, what the options are, and what each would involve. You leave with a plan and a written estimate.

Bring these with you

Photo identification, your dental insurance card, your medical insurance card, and a written list of your current medications. Blood thinners and bone medications matter here, so include them.

The examination and scan

The surgeon examines the area and the structures around it. Most surgical planning then needs cone beam CT scanning, a three dimensional scan showing where nerves, sinuses and roots actually sit. We scan in the office during the same visit.

Deciding what happens next

The surgeon tells you what they suggest and why. You hear the other options too. Waiting is one of them, where waiting makes sense.

Ask about recovery time before you leave, because people forget and then worry about it later.

If the treatment needs more than one visit, we set out the order and the gaps between them.

Patient receiving sedation before oral surgery

What are your sedation choices?

Three options are available. Local anesthetic numbs the area while you stay awake, which suits shorter procedures. Intravenous sedation puts you into a light sleep, and most patients recall almost nothing. General anesthesia covers longer or more involved surgery. Our clinical team trains to assist with all three. We check your health history first, then recommend one.

Nervousness about surgery is the single most common reason people delay it. Tell us at the consultation if that is you. It genuinely changes what we suggest.

Sedation means arranging a ride home. You cannot drive yourself afterward. If nobody is there to collect you, we will rebook you.

Sort the driver out before you book rather than the night before.

What will it cost, and does insurance help?

Three things drive the cost: the procedure, whether you need grafting first, and the sedation you choose. You get a written estimate at the consultation, before we book anything. We work with most dental carriers and bill your plan as a courtesy. Some oral surgery goes through medical insurance rather than dental, which surprises people.

Plans differ a lot. Our team checks your own benefits and tells you the figure to expect before you commit. Anything your plan does not cover stays your responsibility, and most carriers take four to six weeks to respond.

CareCredit, Cherry and Sunbit are available if you want to spread payments. Each one is a separate lender with its own terms. You apply with them directly.

Why patients choose the Snohomish office

Saturday mornings, by appointment

No other OM3 office opens at the weekend. For shift workers, parents and anyone who cannot take weekday leave, this is the office to ask about first.

The same equipment at every office

All four of our offices have a cone beam CT scanner and an intraoral scanner, and we perform IV sedation at all four. You get the same equipment and the same sedation options wherever you book.

Cone beam CT scanning on site

Your scan happens during your consultation rather than at a separate imaging appointment two weeks later.

Five surgeons across four calendars

If the Snohomish calendar is full, Everett, Mill Creek or Smokey Point may have space. Your records and imaging move with you.

Board-certified, every one of them

All five OM3 surgeons are board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery. That is a separate examination after residency, and not every practicing surgeon completes it.

Recognized by other dentists

Seattle Met has included OM3 surgeons on its Top Dentists list in twelve separate years between 2013 and 2026, from a list built by surveying dentists across the region.

A 7:00 AM weekday start

All four offices open at 7:00 AM Monday to Friday. For patients who would rather be done before work, an early weekday appointment is often easier to get than a Saturday slot.

Your dentist stays in the loop

We send notes back after your visit and again after surgery. On implant cases especially, your dentist needs to know what we placed and when to start their part.

What does recovery actually look like?

Recovery depends on what you had done, but most patients want the same three answers. How long am I off work, when does the swelling stop, and what can I eat.

For wisdom teeth, most people take two to three days away from normal activity. Swelling usually peaks around the second or third day, then settles. Soft food for the first few days is the rule, and the sockets take several weeks to close over properly.

Implant surgery is often easier than patients expect. Discomfort tends to be milder than a difficult extraction. The waiting is the harder part, because the bone needs months to grow around the implant before your dentist fits the crown.

You go home with written instructions and a number to call. Use it. We would far rather answer a question on day two than see a problem on day ten.

Finding the Snohomish office

The office is at 2606 Bickford Ave #3, Snohomish, WA 98290, United States, on Bickford Avenue. Patients travel here from Snohomish, Monroe, Lake Stevens and the eastern side of the county.

Parking is a shared lot and it is free. Come in through the main doors. We are Suite 3 on the ground floor of a single story building, so there are no stairs and no elevator to navigate. The nearest cross street is 62nd Pl SE.

That matters if you are having sedation, or if stairs are difficult for you. This is the most straightforward of our four offices to get into.

If you are coming for a sedation appointment, allow more time in the building than you expect. Recovery is not instant, and we will not discharge you until you are steady.

Working alongside your own dentist

Your general dentist still handles your everyday care, and nothing about coming here changes that. We do the surgical work they refer out, and then you return to them for everything else.

The split matters most with dental implants. We place the implant into the jaw, and your own dentist makes and fits the crown that goes on top of it. Both of us have to work from the same plan, so we agree the position before anything goes into the bone.

We write to your dentist twice, once after the consultation and again after your surgery. If you do not have a regular dentist at the moment, please say so when you book, because you will need one for the restoration afterward.

Common questions about the Snohomish office

Do I need my dentist to refer me?

No. Call 360-799-6812 and book a consultation yourself. Most patients do arrive by referral, because a general dentist found something outside their scope, but it is not a requirement. If someone referred you, bring the practice name. We send our findings back to them afterward.

Further ahead than a weekday. Saturday runs three hours at a single office, against nine hours a day across four offices Monday to Friday. Saturdays are appointment only, so you cannot turn up and wait. If your treatment is time sensitive, take the earliest appointment offered rather than holding out for a Saturday.

Yes. Consult at Snohomish and have surgery elsewhere if that fits your schedule better. Your imaging, notes and plan move between our four offices, so you do not repeat anything. Ask the coordinator when you book and they will look across every calendar.

Say so, early, and to whoever answers the phone. Anxiety is ordinary here and it shapes what we recommend, from the sedation option to how much we explain as we go. Some patients want every step described. Others would rather not know. Both are fine.
