Meet Dr. Wahan
Serv S. Wahan, DMD, MD
Dr. Wahan joined Dr. Kim in 2007. His philosophy is to provide outstanding care and to work with his patients in coming up with a comprehensive treatment plan. He believes strongly in communicating with his dental colleagues and coordinating care. He is an advocate of teaching and prides himself in keeping up with current literature and technology. He also enjoys spending his time as a volunteer at the University of Washington where he trains future dentists and oral surgeons.
Dr. Wahan grew up in Seattle before his family moved to Newcastle. He attended Newport High school and played high school football as a defensive back. He was an active member of his fraternity at Washington State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Zoology. He moved to Boston to complete his dental training at Tufts Dental School. Before he graduated, he met and married his wife, who currently practices as an oncologist.
After dental school, Dr. Wahan moved to Pennsylvania to attend medical school. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at Allegheny General Hospital, a Level I trauma center located in Pittsburgh. He also spent an additional two years completing his general surgery residency training. During his residency, he became the proud (and busy) father of twin boys.
Dr. Wahan is dual certified by the State of Washington as a DMD and MD. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and as a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons. He is also Board Certified in Dental Anesthesiology by the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He currently is an active member of the Snohomish County Dental Society and a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Wahan's interests include football, music and working out. His professional interests include implant and trauma surgery.
